January Angels (Part III, the End...or Is It?)

As I told you at the beginning, it's cold outside. But we don't need low temperatures for winter to strike the heart. It can happen any time and, yes, at the worst of times.

We've witnessed snow angels together. Those impressions left in the snow claim to have been done by us humans. And ahhh, what lovely sculptures of snow and ice that our minds created and we marvelled at just one day ago.

As we sit all cuddled up near a fire sipping tea or maybe curled up in a chair with a good book, we may not notice the angels in our midst. In many ways, I think we have come to take them for granted. Do we thank them for being there for us? How about their help? Do we let our Loving God know that we acknowledge their presence?

I have been blessed. No matter how cold it is outside I have the comfort within to keep me warm on the most frigid days. There are no guarantees in this world, except perhaps that, given time, all things change. But even in the middle of change I am confident that angels will descend upon me and my life and lift me up and keep me safe... and warm from the winter snows that storm through my heart.

If you're like me you need proof. I don't like to take anyone's word for anything. I want to see it for myself. ( And I'm not even from Missouri. lol )

I sometimes feel abandoned by the world. I feel as if the angels have left me. In those times it is better perhaps to look outward rather than inward. If we can't see our own then maybe we can see angels working in other ways, in other lives. For me, it is especially at those times when the presence of angels is striking.

Join me now with the voice of an angel... Let her introduce you to those who are surely helped by angels, seen or unseen and sent by God Himself to protect them. When I look at them I know that If He shelters them, He undoubtedly sends angels to me too. As you happen onto each one, think about what just one night exposed to winter's harshness does to them. Perhaps then you will realize all the angels who descend on you each and every day of your life. And say a prayer for our friends. Shed some warmth into their lives too.

Once again, thank you for joining me. It's been my pleasure, indeed.
